51st AMCLI National Congress – Italian Association of Clinical Microbiologists

Rimini

8-11 March 2024

Clinical microbiology in the aftermath of the Sars-CoV2 pandemic has evolved through rapid diagnostic technologies, and it has been highlighted how the role of the clinical microbiologist is crucial in the interpretation of results.
His contribution is crucial in complementing other professionals dealing with animal and environmental issues, considering the historical battles to be faced such as antibiotic resistance and transmissible infections. The ‘One Health’ vision was in fact the leitmotif of the Congress, which saw more than 1800 professionals, of which more than 300 young trainees and researchers, discuss and enrich themselves, with the need to work in synergy with other scientific societies to face future challenges.

On International Women’s Day, the first day of the congress, the essence of femininity and the sustainability of the event were celebrated through the gift of biodegradable flowers to all participants.

Appointment for next year, from 25 to 28 March, again in Rimini!
